King Edward VII Land Antarctic postcard re-posted from Victoria Land NZ One Shilling Ref 09072106A wonderful postcard from the heroic era of Antarctic exploration involving two of the most famous expedition leaders and three of their expeditions. This 1904 Canterbury Times postcard, depicts a gun cotton explosion attempting to break the ice which had trapped Scott's ship the Discovery in 1902.
