Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) overlaid with a mobile swastika, superimposed on crossed swords and within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked on reverse with manufacturer code 65 for maker Klein & Quenzer, Idar Oberstein, measuring 36. 61 mm (w) x 43. 87 mm
